Since 2019, GAL Hassin has focused on data collection in four areas of research:
1. astrometry of asteroids, in particular Near-Earth Objects (NEOs), Near-Earth Asteroids (NEAs), comets, and Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs);
2. study of luminosity variation of space debris and satellite constellations;
3. observations of exoplanetary transits with the realization and analysis of the light curves;
4. the search for unknown variable stars.
Much is expected from the commissioning phase of the Wide-field Mufara Telescope (WMT) sat near the top of the 1865-metre Mount Mufara, a world prototype of the wide-field 1-meter telescope.
